The Hanoverian Warmblood Stallion Derringer is offering some of the finest German Hanoverian Bloodlines
Pedigree Information:
Derringer's
pedigree traces back, on his sire's side, to the stallion Duft II, a
leading producer of dressage horses. His great-great grandfather was
the Canadian stallion Darling, the most famous Dressage horse in Canada,
until his death in 1989. His great-grandfather Damnatz, son of Darling,
was used as a breeding stallion in Germany.
Derringer's
breeding on his dams side is also quite impressive. Goldstar, his mother,
is a descendent of several famous G-line horses including her sire Girabaldi
II, who also sired the famous dressage horse Gifted.
Derringer is a descendent of Grande. As a famous stallion who stood
in Germany for 25 years (1962-1987), Grande was noted for his inner
values which resulted in his own high performance testing and the performance
success of his offspring. With Graf by Goldfisch II more from the jumping
side and with a Duellant mother, Grande combined dressage and jumping
bloodlines and his offspring have been very versatile.
The most recent issue of "The
Hanoverian" contains the following quotes:
"The Association of Hanoverian Warmblood Breeders is in existence
for 75 years. Dr. Jochen Wilkens, managing director and breeding manager
for the last 15 years, addressed some fundamental observations at the
annual meeting."
THE STALLION LINES
"Artificial insemination is on the increase (in 1996 its share
rose to 85 percent). It causes heavier use of the most favored stallions
more so than ever before........... Flavius stallion line is in first
place... Offspring from this line is considered the cream of the international
dressage scene..."
"The Goldfisch II line advanced to second place because of Gotthard
and Grande. We hope that this stallion line will remain popular since
it is the most successful Hanoverian stallion line in the sport..."
"The results from international competitions furnish proof
that we can breed successful dressage horses and jumpers with our Hanoverian
stallions. On the Hanoverian stallion market always those young stallions
are in high demand, which carry true Hanoverian bloodlines."
"The Hanoverian" is published by Verband hannoverscher Warmblutzuchter,
Germany's Hanoverian society, breed registry and offices which regulate
and supervise the breeding, sales and promotion of the Hanoverian horse
in Europe and to some extent the U.S.. This publication goes out to
owners who have registered horses.
